The Canada Games Complex is a large indoor sports and recreation facility located in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It was originally built for the 1981 Canada Summer Games and has since become one of the city’s most popular fitness and aquatic centres.

The complex features a large Olympic-size swimming pool that is 77 metres long. The pool includes lanes for lap swimming, areas for diving, and shallow zones for beginners. There is also a tall diving tower with platforms at different heights, including 5m, 7.5m, and 10m, plus diving boards for training and fun.

Families and children enjoy the 73-metre-long waterslide called the “Thunderslide” and the whirlpool. These features make it a fun place for both exercise and relaxation.

Apart from the pool, the Canada Games Complex offers many fitness options. It has a large weight room with modern gym equipment, including treadmills, bikes, free weights, and strength machines. There is also a 280-metre indoor running track and separate rooms for group fitness classes like yoga, aerobics, and stretching.

For those who enjoy racquet sports, the complex includes squash courts. Swimming lessons, aqua-fit classes, and health and wellness programs are available for all age groups. The facility is also home to local sports clubs like the Thunderbolts Swim Club and the Thunder Bay Diving Club.

The Canada Games Complex is designed to be inclusive and accessible. It has barrier-free change rooms, improved washroom facilities, and services for people with disabilities. Visitors can also relax at the on-site café.
