Watson Lake

Home of the incredible Northern Lights

Watson Lake is Situated in the rolling hills of southeast Yukon, at 1016.8 kilometer on the Alaska highway at its junction with the Campbell Highway. It offers many outdoor attractions and breathtaking scenery.

The major attractions in Watson Lake are the famous Signpost Forest, the incredible Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) and Science Centre.

Today, the Town of Watson Lake is the major hub of transportation, communication and distribution for mining and logging activities in the southern Yukon.

In the winter months, the gentle slopes and forests can be explored by cross country skiing or snowmobile riding. Local lakes provide opportunities for skating or ice fishing.
