Le Museé de Saint-Boniface Museum
The St. Boniface Museum is housed in the old Grey Nuns' Convent, Winnipeg's oldest building. it was constructed for the Grey Nuns when they arrived in the Red River Colony in 1844. The structure is an outstanding example of Red River frame construction. An impressive collection of artifacts that reveal the lives and culture of the Francophone and Métis population of Manitoba can be found at the Museum, including the largest collection of Louis Riel artifacts, the founder of Manitoba. |
